Your personal definition of Social Entrepreneur
Identifies an area of need or potential for improvement in the local, regional or international arenas;
Takes it upon him/herself to actively work to bring about those improvements
Understands that creative solutions and bold actions are the necessary vehicle for social change, but that the "newest and latest" is not always the most effective approach.
Seeks partnerships on all levels, including local constituencies, other social entrepreneurs, funding agencies, governmental organizations.
Views his/her work as open-ended and potentially expandable to larger arenas

The useful suggestion that CFF member would give to all potential & active social entrepreneurs
Start locally, but maintain a broad vision — don't try to save the world overnight (you'll be overwhelmed in no time), pick a corner and get to work.
View your constituency as partners — maximize your brain and work capacity by engaging the people you are trying to help as partners and co-actors in changing your collective worlds. Build coalitions across denominations and generations to effecting change.
